The boys in Renroc cafe modelling my bags the other day. Their idea & yes, I think they may have had a couple of drinks!
Tomorrow night 1st December my bags & jewellery & other peoples work are on sale at Renroc Cafe Xmas Fair 7 – 10 pm.http://www.facebook.com/pages/Renroc-Caf%C3%A9-Bar/192773604098676
Last Saturdays record fair at Cafe Camino in Edinburgh. It was great to see so many people through the door.
Here are some new bags I have made over the last few days. On a constant hunt for tweed & tartan to recycle! All my bags are made using recycled belts for the straps & using kilt pins to attach. This gives them a hint of Scottishness & also makes the straps interchangeable & easy to lengthen or shorten.
Bags are orderable on request by emailing… firstname.lastname@example.org , the bags are £35 plus postage.
Last Saturday I had a pop up shop in the Save The Children shop in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. This shop has a great atmosphere & is one set up by Mary Portas. It’s decor is funky & fun & a sense of community is abundant here.
These pop up shops are a great way to get your work seen when starting out or to boost sales at busy times like the run up to Christmas. I have several more pop up shops during the next 3 – 4 weeks & this shop has asked me back again on 18th December….looking forward to it already.
Love the enthusiasm of one of the customers in the shop eager to model one of my bags!
Just got this website up and running. On holiday in Cornwall for a few days & plenty of new vinyl purchased on my trip. Will be frantically making bags and necklaces on return home for stalls between now & end of December. Christmas orders also now being taken.
